Our verdict
The EBO SE 2 is Enabot's newest and best-selling robot: a tennis-ball-sized rolling camera with a 2K, 137° camera, night vision, two-way audio, a built-in laser and feather toy for cats, 24/7 recording to a 32 GB SD card (included) and auto-recharge on its dock, for $169.99. Compared with the original EBO SE it adds 2K video, Wi-Fi 6, animated eyes, the laser and more accurate docking. Limits: a 4–7 hour battery, it only crosses 6 mm obstacles and 4° slopes, it has no store reviews yet, and Enabot's Trustpilot record (3.3/5) and 1-year warranty are average. A good-value pet robot for flat floors; about $153 with code TRANTRUNG.

Specs and limits
| EBO SE 2 | |
|---|---|
| Size / weight | 95 × 95 × 89 mm, ~290 g |
| Battery | 2,450 mAh, 4–7 h; 2–3 h to charge |
| Storage | microSD up to 256 GB, 32 GB included |
| Speed | 20–60 cm/s |
| Obstacles / slopes | ≤6 mm / ≤4° |
| Noise | 61 dB |
The low obstacle and slope limits mean it's best on hard floors and thin rugs. It won't climb stairs, and thick carpet or tall door thresholds can stop it.
EBO SE 2 vs EBO SE
The original EBO SE ($139) has a 1080p camera, standard 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, simple indicator lights and no laser. The SE 2 adds 2K video, Wi-Fi 6, animated eyes, the laser and feather toy, and more accurate docking, per Enabot. For about $31 more, the SE 2 is the better buy for cat owners.
Ratings
The EBO SE 2 is new and had no reviews on Enabot's store when we checked. Enabot's Trustpilot score is 3.3/5 from 74 reviews: buyers like the camera and features, but some report motors failing and slow returns. See our Enabot review.
Safety and privacy
- Don't shine the laser into anyone's eyes, and finish play with a toy or treat so your cat can "win".
- Use a strong app password and keep firmware updated; Enabot says video is sent encrypted.
- Keep it away from stairs and water.
Price, coupon and returns
- Price: $169.99. Code TRANTRUNG takes 10% off at the time of writing, bringing it to about $153.
- Shipping: free with taxes and duties included to the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand; US delivery 5–15 days.
- Returns: 14 days for any reason, but you pay return shipping and it must show no signs of use. Faulty units can be returned within 7 days at Enabot's cost.
- Warranty: 1 year (2 years in Europe), country of purchase only.
Alternatives
- EBO Air 2 ($199): 2K, laser, customizable expression display, AI noise cancellation and long- and short-range self-charging. See EBO SE 2 vs EBO Air 2.
- EBO Air 2 Plus ($399): 3K camera, 5,000 mAh battery, AI patrol and assistant, and better obstacle handling (10 mm, 15°).
- ROLA Mini ($169): 2K tumbler-style robot with a long battery (up to 25 days, per Enabot).
All five are compared in best Enabot pet robots.
The bottom line
The EBO SE 2 brings Enabot's best pet features (laser, 2K camera, auto-recharge) to a $169.99 price, with an SD card included and no required subscription. It's a clear upgrade over the original EBO SE. Its small size limits it to flat floors, and there's no store feedback yet, but for a cat owner who wants to check in and play remotely, it's a good-value pick. Our verdict: 7.2/10.
