The key differences

1. The fill light

The Weebill 3S has a built-in 1000-lux fill light with color temperature adjustable from 2600K to 5500K. ZHIYUN pitches it for face lighting, product details and low-light scenes on the go. It won't replace a proper video light, but it saves carrying one for quick talking-head shots. The 3E has no light.

2. Expansion modules

ZHIYUN says the 3S supports image transmission and follow-focus modules and the 3E doesn't. If you might later want to monitor from a phone or control focus from the gimbal, the 3S leaves that door open.

3. Smart features and kits

The 3S product page lists AI tracking, wireless remote control, and voice and motion-sensing control. The page doesn't clearly say whether these work with the Standard kit or rely on accessories in the Combo. If they matter to you, check the box contents before you buy.

4. Price

At the time of writing, the 3E costs $199 and the 3S starts at $271, a $72 gap for the Standard kit and $174 for the Combo.

What they share

Both have a 3 kg payload, native vertical shooting, Bluetooth camera control, a 2600 mAh battery rated for up to 11.5 hours, 2-hour charging and the same tilt range. Both are rated highly by buyers on the ZHIYUN store.

A note on weight

ZHIYUN markets the 3E as having a "featherlight sub-1kg body", but its own spec table lists 1,054.8 g for the main unit, and its FAQ says 1050 g. In practice, the two gimbals weigh about the same, a little over 1 kg before you add a camera.

Buying tips

Both qualify for ZHIYUN's free shipping on US orders of $99+, with delivery in 7–15 business days after dispatch, and a 1-year limited warranty. ZHIYUN doesn't provide return labels and states its return window inconsistently, so read our ZHIYUN review first. Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Weebill 3E and Weebill 3S?
According to ZHIYUN, the Weebill 3S includes a built-in fill light and supports image transmission or follow-focus modules, while the Weebill 3E does not. Payload (3 kg), runtime (11.5 h) and charging time (2 h) are the same.
Which is lighter?
They're essentially the same weight. ZHIYUN's FAQ gives 1050 g for the 3E and 1054.8 g for the 3S, although the 3E's spec table also lists 1,054.8 g, and its 'sub-1kg body' marketing line doesn't match either figure.
Does the Weebill 3S have AI tracking?
ZHIYUN's store lists AI tracking, wireless remote control and voice and motion-sensing control for the 3S, but doesn't clearly say which kit includes the accessories these features rely on. Check the Combo's box contents, or ask ZHIYUN, before you pay for them.
Do both support vertical shooting?
Yes. Both offer native vertical shooting without extra accessories. One buyer review on the 3S page reports a Sony FX30 setup that didn't fit in vertical mode, so check larger camera bodies against ZHIYUN's compatibility list.
