How to choose Lensmart glasses
1. Start with a pair that fits
Look inside the arm of your current glasses for three numbers, such as 52-16-140: lens width, bridge width and arm length. Choose a frame whose frame width and lens width are within a few millimeters of yours. Lensmart measures its frames by hand, so expect slight variation.
2. Think about your prescription
- Progressive lenses need enough lens height. A shallow frame like the Andrea (35 mm) leaves less room for the reading zone.
- Strong prescriptions look thinner in smaller frames and with high-index lenses.
3. Pick the material
TR90 frames (Sarah, Andrea, Minda, Ligeia) are light and flexible. Acetate (Sahana) is a classic, slightly heavier material with rich patterns. See our Sarah vs Sahana comparison.
4. Choose lenses deliberately
Some Lensmart descriptions mention "blue light protection", but lenses are sold separately. Select blue-light, photochromic or polarized lenses in the lens step if you want them.
