Few brands make lenses as affordable as 7Artisans for Sony mirrorless cameras, and its line-up now includes autofocus lenses alongside its classic manual-focus primes. With dozens of models to choose from, we narrowed it down to five that cover the most common needs: an everyday autofocus prime, a full-frame option, a vlogging ultra-wide, a dreamy portrait lens and a creative fisheye. All prices and specifications come from the official 7Artisans store as of October 2026.

How we chose
7Artisans sells dozens of lenses for Sony E-mount. We started from the store's best sellers and current line-up, then picked one lens for each of the five most common needs: everyday autofocus, full-frame autofocus, vlogging, portraits and creative fisheye shots. Rankings reflect how useful each lens is for the typical Sony shooter, weighed against price. All specifications and prices are from the official 7Artisans store as of October 2026. See how we review products.
Which Sony camera do you have?
This is the first thing to check, because it decides which lenses make sense:
| Your camera | Sensor | Best picks |
|---|---|---|
| a6000, a6100, a6400, a6600, ZV-E10, FX30 | APS-C | AF 25/35/50mm F1.8, AF 10mm F2.8, 50mm f/0.95, 7.5mm fisheye |
| a7 III, a7 IV, a7C, a7R series, FX3 | Full-frame | AF 35mm F1.8 Full-Frame (APS-C lenses need crop mode) |
On APS-C cameras, multiply the focal length by about 1.5 to get the full-frame equivalent. A 35mm lens behaves like a 52.5mm "normal" lens, and a 50mm lens like a 75mm portrait lens.
Autofocus or manual focus?
- Choose autofocus (AF 25/35/50, AF 35 Full-Frame, AF 10mm) if you shoot moving subjects, kids, pets, events or vlogs, or if you simply want point-and-shoot convenience.
- Choose manual focus (50mm f/0.95, 7.5mm fisheye) if you enjoy a more deliberate style, want a very specific look such as extreme bokeh or a fisheye effect, and want to spend less.
Tip: On manual lenses, turn on your Sony's focus peaking and enable "Release w/o Lens" in the menu, otherwise the shutter will not fire with a lens that has no electronic contacts.
